Join our dedicated team as a Crematory Operator/Driver, where you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and respectful services during one of life's most sensitive moments. In this position, you will operate cremation equipment with precision and care, ensuring processes are conducted safely, efficiently, and in accordance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate cremation equipment with mechanical knowledge to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant cremation processes.
- Assist with heavy lifting and handling of remains or related materials, following proper procedures to ensure safety and dignity.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of industrial equipment used in the cremation process to maintain optimal operation.
- Follow all necessary procedures to ensure respectful handling of remains and clear communication with funeral homes.
- Maintain detailed records of each cremation cycle, transport logs, and equipment maintenance reports accurately and confidentially.
- Uphold strict safety standards and sanitation protocols throughout all duties to ensure a respectful environment.
- Cares for decedent in a respectful manner while performing all the tasks involved in the cremation process.
- Promotes a safe work environment
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment used in cremation operations.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in a physically demanding environment.
- Excellent attention to detail for recordkeeping, safety checks, and process adherence.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and families when necessary.
- Ability to follow strict safety protocols while maintaining a respectful demeanor at all times.
